Danish company LINAK® manufactures and develops electric linear actuators.

Linear actuators and lifting columns, with metal profiles around the actuator, are used in various applications across industry, agriculture, offices, homes, and healthcare.

Like hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, linear actuators motors can lift, lower, push, pull, lock, open, compress, and release different components.

Examples include height or length adjustments of equipment for workers of different sizes, machine height adjustments based on the size of the workpiece, and various adjustments in automation.

All LINAK actuators operate on low voltage (DC) and are leak-free and maintenance-free. Multiple actuators and lifting columns can be easily synchronized to move simultaneously using integrated or external control electronics.

LINAK focuses on linear actuator systems. The business has been divided into four business units:

TECHLINE® actuators are designed for industrial applications with demanding requirements such as high IP ratings and vibration resistance. These industrial actuators support various bus standards like CANopen®, CAN SAE J1939®, Modbus® RTU, Modbus® TCP/IP, Profinet, Ethernet/IP™, and IO-Link®. In addition to bus actuators, integrated power electronics can be utilized with our universal I/O™ integrated controller electronics, allowing actuator settings to be customized using the Actuator Connect PC software.

DESKLINE® actuators and lifting columns are designed for ergonomic systems and solutions. LINAK lifting columns can improve ergonomics and working comfort in desks and workstations, adjustable kitchen furniture, retail fixtures and checkout counters, various display lifts, and other applications requiring straight up/down movement. Differences in height adjustable desk legs (lifting columns) include noise level, lifting capacity, speed, and stability – best experienced by seeing and testing different models.

MEDLINE® & CARELINE® actuator solutions are tailored for various healthcare applications, from hospital beds and patient lifts to surgical tables and treatment chairs. Systems are always customized based on the customer’s specific requirements.

HOMELINE® systems are optimized for comfort beds and pedestal recliners.
