Teknologia 19 Startup Competition

The aim for the award is to present new and remarkable technological solutions. The winner of the Teknologia 19 Startup Competition will be awarded with a scholarship of € 10,000 awarded by the Finnish Fair Foundation. The competition is is organised together with Teknologia 19 fair and  Fiban (Finnish Business Angels Network).

Purpose of the Teknologia 19 Startup Competition

Startup Competition aims to introduce the most promising and potential growth company in 2019 within technology companies. The price can be awarded for a remarkable, creative and innovative solution within technology industry. It can be a commercial product, technology or an application. The solution will, at its best, bring new perspective to the technology industry.

What happens now?

After the deadline the jury will choose 5-7 most suitable ideas or solutions for a pitching competition organised at Teknologia 19 event. The jury will choose the winner on the basis of the pitching competition. The pitching event will take place on Wednesday 6 November. The winner will be announced at Teknologia 19 event party the same evening.

Jury

The chair of the jury is the president of Finnish Business Angels Network FiBAN Janne Jormalainen. Other members of the jury are Board Member of FIBAN and business angel Saga Forss, Managing Director of Suppliers of Electronic Instruments and Components Association (ELKOMIT) Veli-Matti Kankaanpää, Vice President of Robotics Society in Finland and Managing Director at Yaskawa Finland Nina Lehtinen, Board Member of Finnish Information Processing Association, TIVIA Reino Myllymäki, Head of Growth Programmes at Teknologiateollisuus – Technology Industries of Finland Piia Simpanen, Advisor at the Association of Finnish Technical Traders Jan Sucksdorff, Office Manager for Finnish Maintenance Society, Promaint Jaakko Tennilä, President of Finnish Hydraulics & Pneumatics Association Kalle Tuohimaa and President of Finnish Society of Automation Marko Vuorio.
